Like your trustworthiness, your loyalty is what you alone possess to give, and it's value will gain interest over time. When you prove true to friends, to your faith or to your country, you show that you understand what loyalty is worth.
In our time, to pledge constant and undying support or loyalty can often be taken lightly, but if you hold to your word and prove loyal, you will be greatly valued. In the course of your life you will be glad that you were loyal to others.
Scouting serves as a way to teach loyalty and honor, and the Scout Law brings us to this pledge each week by way of reminder. When we say the words again and again we remember that our loyal pledges create a sturdy foundation for friendships, our communities and our world.
