Each one is engraved with the department's patch or emblem, the officer's name and badge number, unit or station, and dates of service, on a solid wood blade made to hang in the home or the station.

Many of our first responder swords go out in sets: a graduating academy class, a retiring shift, an annual awards banquet. Same emblem on every blade, a different name on each.
